1. Overview
With the development of computer and related technology, digital photogrammetric system is developing from high-end to low-end, from software and hardware binding package to integration of generic components,from aerophotography to space photogrammetry, from spatial data production to virtual reality environment and realtime image analysis. The huge needs in spatial information acquisition and data processing promise the foreground of digital photogrammetric technology.
GEOWAY prepared to develop digital photogrammetric system in 2000. During the period of undertaking the production for Japan organizations, GEOWAY gradually combined 3D data editing techniques with stereo modeling, which is the prototype of GEOWAY DPS.
Based on GEOWAY spatial information processing technology, GEOWAU DPS creates a new digital photogrammetric model – data collecting and editing integrated, indoor work and field work integrated, mapping and database creation integrated. GEOWAY DPS also support data updating for database. By combining GEOWAY network based scheduling technology, GEOWAY DPS support large-scale digital photogrammetric teamwork.
As the second generation of DPS, GEOWAY DPS has good compatibility and inherit to traditional DPSes. The customer only need to install it, 3D data collecting will be easy as map vectorization.
2. Product design ideas

Data collecting and editing integrated: Replant efficient data collecting functions of GEOWAY into stereo data collecting environment, change the separation of 3D data collecting and vector editing situation, make 3D data collecting as easy as GeoScan map vectorization.
Indoor work and field work integrated: GEOWAY DPS could be installed on indoor DPS workstation and mobile equipment in field work, and support the directly use of data collected indoor in field work.
Mapping and database creation integrated: By fusing the spatial characteristics of GIS data, graphic characteristic of CAD data, taking advantage of the powerful symbol technology of GEOWAY, and combing topology, labeling and overlapping processing methods, GEOWAY DPS realized the integration of mapping and database creation of one dataset.
Data updating synchronously: Based on GEOWAY platform, GEOWAY DPS supports data exchanging with GIS database, supporting the updating of spatial data and its attributes synchronously.
Network based data production: GEOWAY DPS supports data organization, personnel management, task allocation, workflow design, quality control and progress monitoring, which greatly improves the efficiency of 3D data collecting.
3. Structure
By integrating GEOWAY spatial information processing technology, GEOWAU DPS breaks the restriction of traditional digital photogrammetric technology, and creates a new digital photogrammetric model – data collecting and editing integrated, indoor work and field work integrated, mapping and database creation integrated. GEOWAY DPS also support data updating for database. Under the support of GEOWAY network based scheduling technology, GEOWAY DPS support large-scale digital photogrammetric teamwork.

Observation system:
Create stereo model according to different sensor model, RPC parameters, or by directly importing AT results.
