1. Overview
For a long period, people has been used to producing spatial data on GIS or CAD platform, although the two platforms has many restricts. And spatial data production workflow has to be interrupted by switching from one tool to another. It is not corresponding with such a big industry.

GEOWAY Inc. is established to develop full spatial information processing software and create the technology support environment.

In 2002, GEOWAY carried out the “Tenth Five” National High-tech Program – “Integrated data processing environment for multi-source spatial data” independently. Based on this project, GEOWAY recombined old products and developed a series of modules of data collecting, editing, transforming, quality checking etc., to form GEOWAY geographic Information Processing Package.

Platform:
Different from traditional spatial data processing tools, GEOWAY Geographic information processing platform provides a uniform environment for GPS data, map, aerophoto, satellite image, vector data, attribute data etc., which lower the complexity of workflow and the complication of technology and greatly improve production efficiency.

GEOWAY creates spatial data model which fusing the characteristics of both GIS data and CAD data, and provides powerful symbol attributes and graphic editing, dynamically labeling, and thematic displaying techniques. Using GEOWAY, one set of spatial data could meet the demands for both database construction and data mapping. And GEOWAY realized the integration of professional processing, workflow and database.

4. Honors
GEOWAY Geographic information processing package was honored “Excellent National GIS Software from 1998 to 2003. GEOWAY package has been used in national fundamental surveying and mapping program, city infrastructure and land resource data production and database construction. Now there are more than 8,000 set of GEOWAY packages are used in spatial information related industries.
